I started skating at primary school but started having coaching 2004ish

Why did you start skating?
I started skating at primary school through the school skating progamme and was biten by the skating bug. In 2004 I started having coaching and not looked back since.

What’s your favourite compulsory/pattern dance?
Tulips From Amsterdam

Which disciplines have you participated in since you started skating?
Ice Dance, Synchronised skating

Please tell us all about your skating highlights:
I’ve taken part in many of the RIDL events over the years, my first RIDL was at Nottingham and I danced the Goldern Skaters Waltz. In 2009 in took part in the British Adult Championships and skated in the solo dance category, i also skated my first free dance at the championships. I have also done ice dance competitions in Oxford and Deeside. I have my Level 1 Field Moves. I have also made a return back to synchronised skating.

When you’re not on the ice, what are you doing?
When am not on the ice i am studying for my degree in counselling and my level 2 fitness instructors course, i am hoping to link the two together and go into sports counselling. I enjoy going to the gym and running, at the moment I am training for a half marathon. I have done a number of 10k runs including the Humber Bridge and the Hull 10k. I’ve also taken part in the Midnight walk, for Dove House Hull.
When I’m not running around I love to cuddle up in bed with a good book especially books by Susan Hill.
